Chapter Philanthropy

Phi Mu's national philanthropy is Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The hospital closest to us from that network is Texas Children's Hospital, just a 15 minute ride away. We are so fortunate to have Texas Children's Hospital here in Houston! Most of our local philanthropy work is with them. We get to take hospital tours, collect toys and later take them to the kids, and making activity/coloring books with the kids - we are so lucky to see, so directly, who our fundraising benefits. 

Dec My Room

Our Chapter participates in a program called Dec My Room, in which we are able to make a child's hospital stay better by decorating their hospital room to give it a personal touch! 

We've volunteered at events that Dec My Room has hosted in order to raise funds to decorate the children's hospital rooms.

  

This fall, some of our girls helped out at the Dec My Room event. They helped check guests in, get goody bags together, and helped the event run smoothly. We are so proud of our girls for always striving to serve, and living up to the Phi Mu values. 

Bonnamu

Bonnamu is a lip syncing competition hosted by Phi Mu on campus. Greek life and other on-campus organizations sign up and compete all for a good cause! 

We have hosted this event for 3 years now and it's always so much fun!

Field Day

Field Day is a philanthropy event we host every year. This is a fun way to get different organizations together to show their competitive sides and athleticism while also supporting CMNH. There are multiple events and games, prizes, trophies, and philanthropy awareness all for the kids!

Phi Hop

Our chapter also hosts a smaller event called Phi Hop. We serve pancakes to everyone who comes to out house and all the money that we raise goes directly to our second philanthropy, Phi Mu Foundation.

Along with supporting our personal philanthropy, we also love to support other Greek organization's philanthropies by participating in their events.
